How the photo scanning service works

  1. 01 Choose your package

    Pick the photo-count band, resolution and delivery option that suits your collection.
  2. 02 Send, drop-off or arrange local collection

    Use the packing guidance to keep bundles safe and in the order you want them scanned.
  3. 03 We scan and organise

    Each print is digitised at your chosen resolution, then prepared as clean, easy-to-share JPEG files.
  4. 04 Download, share and back up

    Your private download link stays available for eight weeks, giving you time to save your archive safely.

How to prepare and post your photos

  • Remove anything sticky or sharp before packing, including Blu Tack, tape, and staples.
  • If your photos are in albums, take the prints out and gather them together before sending.
  • Group originals in envelopes or with rubber bands. Each group becomes its own digital folder.
  • Keep each group above 50 originals where possible so your folders stay useful and tidy.
  • Label each group with a short folder name and we will use it in your gallery and filenames, for example if you label a group as "Vegas 2010", that group of photos will be in a folder called "Vegas 2010" and the filenames will be "Vegas 2010-001.jpg", "Vegas 2010-002.jpg" etc.

How should I send my printed photos?

Keep bundles together, remove anything that could mark the prints, and use sturdy packaging. Tracked postage is recommended for posted orders.

How long does photo scanning take?

Turnaround depends on collection size, selected resolution, and current workload. Timing is confirmed after checkout.

What file format will I receive?

Your scans are delivered as high-quality JPEG files, with a USB copy included when you choose that delivery option.

What if my photos are fragile or damaged?

Fragile originals are handled carefully, and anything needing extra care is flagged before scanning continues.
